VS FOCUM ceases the manufacturing of AFFF, AR-AFFF and fluorinated additives for extinguishers

In 2002, we started our journey with three decisive products that paved the way for VS FOCUM: BoldFoam BF-130, BoldFoam BF-330 and BoldFoam BF-360. They were not just another set of foams on the market. Those AR-AFFFs showed what we do, how we do it and, most importantly, why we do it: because we care about the details that usually went missing in the firefighting foam world. Usability and performance, without compromise.

Those products were only the starting line. We developed more than 80 special products across the AFFF, AFFF-AR and extinguisher-agent ranges. A complete answer for companies that were not happy with what they were being offered. In the early days, those products were the company. They opened airports, petrochemical plants, ports and fire services in more than a hundred countries. They taught us to improve ourselves, always: every mixing ratio, every special condition, everything that does not fit on a spec sheet. On them the foundations of VS FOCUM were poured. We are proud of that work. We are grateful to everyone who trusted it.

That episode now ends. Not because it failed. Because it did its job. Splendidly.

We have permanently ceased production of fluorinated foam concentrates (AFFF and AFFF-AR) and of fluorinated additives for extinguishers yesterday Wednesday, 9 September 2026. The last factory dispatches leave this Friday, 11 September 2026. The short remaining stock will be allocated first-come, first-served, until it is gone. Existing contracts are untouched: already made, waiting for shipment or collection.

We do not leave the craft. We take it with us. We take it to the next level. And we have been preparing for it.

Since 2010 we have built Silvara: the next generation of fluorine-free concentrates for Class B and Class B-AR. Certified, aclaimmed, and for several years already our main range. From here it is the only one — together with our extinguisher, Class A, training, multi-expansion and forestry products, all of them without fluorine. Same house. Same stubbornness about usability first. A cleaner chemistry. Closer care for our customers and distributors, with the best products we have ever made.
